Cycle of Solace No. 2

A ritual of silent sharing. Light the candle, open the envelope, write what you need to wash away, invite another. Place the paper in the bowl full of water. Each sentiment dissolves within seconds. Dennissa Young and I invited members of our community to partake in a relational performance. After each person had placed their paper in the bowl of water, the two of us carried the bowl, barefoot, to the nearest natural stream in the heart of Boston, bearing the vulnerabilities of our audience and environment.
